Events

The Green Foundation has exhibited at many community and regional events, including: the Virginia Chamber of Commerce SeaFest, the Newport News Fall Festival at Newport News Park, the Hampton Roads Home & Garden Expo, The CNU Garden Synposium, and Earth Day at Virginia Living Museum. In addition to talking with hundreds of local and regional visitors, the Foundation has distributed thousands of pine seedlings (with planting instructions) provided by the U.S. Forest Service and support from the Newport News Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism.

As a result of these community activities, hundreds of individuals have now joined as Associate Members of The Green Foundation, providing charitable support for this community-wide mission. Membership begins with only a $1 charitable gift and above (please see "Get Involved" to become an Associate Member). In addition,The Green Foundationis now presenting informative programs to area clubs, organizations, and associations.
